Shana Levine joined the 3 Fold Group as a senior associate in spring 2019. Levine’s focus areas include executive coaching, AD transitions, sports sponsorship, and enrollment management.
“The 3 Fold Group is thrilled that Shana will be further engaged in the consulting practice as our newest senior associate,” said Leah Kareti, principal and founder of 3 Fold Group. “I am so pleased to be able to share Shana's broad expertise, keen intellect and welcoming style with more of 3 Fold's clients. With the addition of Shana, the 3 Fold Group will expand services to include executive coaching for athletics directors and offer workshops on effective data sharing between athletics and admissions to maximize enrollment.”
Prior to this, Levine served as the director of physical education & athletics at Lewis & Clark College since 2014. At Lewis & Clark, Levine oversaw 19 Division III varsity sports, the institution’s intramural program, and the physical education department. Levine partnered with the director of admissions to increase data and information sharing between coaches and admissions using Slate as a shared recruitment tool. Through this work, the yield of recruited student-athletes at Lewis & Clark is now ten percentage points higher than the institutional yield rate. She oversaw a strategic turnaround in the football program, growing the roster from 43 student-athletes to over 70, including the Northwest Conference Freshman of the Year in 2017.
Levine also developed and implemented a department-wide identity initiative for student-athletes, coaches, and staff to enhance and promote the positive contributions of student-athletes across campus. Outside of athletics, Levine also served as part of the student life leadership team for the college.
Beginning in 2008 and through her appointment at Lewis & Clark, Shana served as the associate director of athletics at Washington and Lee in Lexington, Virginia. In this role, she was responsible for oversight and management of NCAA compliance and eligibility, coordinating event and game management for all home athletics contests and select special events, coordinating athletics facility scheduling, serving as the liaison with campus housing and dining facilities, and organizing and preparing grant requests and awards for the NCAA, ODAC, and other organizations. Additionally, Shana supervised law school externs and taught a Women in Sport course within the gender studies department.
Prior to Washington and Lee, Levine spent four years with the NCAA. She began as an enforcement services intern in 2004 and was promoted to coordinator of membership services and then was named the assistant director of student-athlete reinstatement in 2005. She then acted as an associate director of membership services/Division III governance liaison. Shana served as the chair of the NCAA Division III Interpretations and Legislation Committee and also served on the NCAA Division III Membership Committee.
She holds memberships in NACDA, the National Association of Division III Athletics Administrators (NADIIIAA), Women Leaders in College Sports (formerly NACWAA), and NACUA. Levine has also facilitated programs at the NCAA National Convention, NACUA, and the NCAA Division III New ADs Orientation Program. A graduate of Washington and Lee University, she went on to earn her law degree at the University of Pittsburgh and passed the Indiana Bar in 2005.
While in law school, she served as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Carnegie Mellon University from 2001-2004, and served as a compliance intern at the University of Pittsburgh department of athletics from 2003-2004.
